I can help you about China portion. Since you only have 8 days, so I will recommend start from Beijing, the Capital, where you can see the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, etc, then fly to Xi'an to see the Terra Cotta Warrior which is another landmark of China, then fly to Shanghai, which is the famous cosmopolitan city in China, also a good city to fly out of China. It will take about 6-7 days to cover all these cities, depends how much time you want to spend in each city.
