Komondor (larger white one) and Puli (smaller black one) are the two that you see in the US. You can also cord Poodles, but it is not very common.

there will b differnt dogs with dreadlocks,
i have seen a black poodle with dreads... i guess any dog that has long hair can have dread,
good luck finding the dog ur looking for!!!

There is the Komondor, which is likely the one you are talking about, and the less popular Perro de agua espanol.
