Flowers? It's the day after Valentines(cuz she has to work, which sux) Would giving her a flower be too much on a first date with a friend that i've known for a while?

starting the date with fresh flowers are sweet and it can be an ice breaker as well! usally women smile or blush when a guy gives her flowers so if you want to give her flowers go ahead there is no harm it can only bring about smiling and blushing:)

I'm 44 now, but about 20 years ago I was working in a mall and recieved a beautiful card asking me out for a date. I went out and after the date he sent me a thank you card for going out with him. I still have those cards, it was really special, it wasn't overdone and very romantic. We went to the beach early in the morning to ride horses for our date. I never forgot it. Anyone and everyone gives just flowers. Don't write a lot of mushy stuff, just write a few simple words on a card. It's cool and she'll never forget it.

Whether or not you impress her is up to her. All you can do is be who you are. You can tell a lot about a person by the friends they choose...so ask if you are the kind of friend you would choose? If you answer "yes", then don't worry about impressing her. If you can truly love yourself, honor yourself and accept yourself without judgment. then you will make the right choices in friends and others will recognize your virtues. She will be impressed. And if she isn't then you probably wouldn't have liked her anyway.

nah...give her a flower, be polite, and BE YOURSELF. Nothing worse than a guy working too hard to impress. I'll bet if you're considerate enough to ask this question, you're a pretty decent fella. Be you and have a great time!

never impress anybody. have confidence in yourself, and be natural. you can show her what you is all about, not what you do for her. start of something simple.
