If it had chicken in it, then they would have to name it Chicken apple pie. And that does not sound the least bit good.

Because then it would be called chicken pie. And while people think this is a strange combination, some recipes for Waldorf salad combine chicken and apples. I don't get it. I never understood mixing fruits and poultry.

actually apple sauce and pork seems to taste good together...
with a crusty pie shell, mmmm or that philo stuff, that sounds so good right now. But the apple chicken pie I don't think so
