well the dance is on friday.(17th)
and i am afraid I will be the only one without a date.
nothing is for sure some of my friends don't have dates yet.
as much as i'd love to say i am independent..and i dont care..i can't

Go anyway, my daughter and a few of her friends just all went together as a group. Several other groups too. Some guys also in groups just went and had a good time. Go pick yourself up a coursage!!! Get all of ya'lls pictures together! Cherish it years from now! Maybe the others who are dateless can all get together. I think it is common no days. Not everybody has a boyfriend and don't worry if you don't!
The loser who wrote "don't go unless you want to look like a loser" must be one of those mean, conceded jock types. You know the ones i'm talking about girls!!

Wow. That's a lot of worry to spend on a thing that is supposed to be fun. You are obviously really young. If you are so young that this really bothers you, chances are you are too young to have a date. Why not let go of the worries and let yourself have fun? Anticipate the good things, not the bad things. You won't be the only one without a date. I can imagine the pictures. If you take a group photo with your friends, you'll have it to cherish forever! Why not make a pact with your friends - NObody dates. You escort each other. Set a new trend. You can still dance with all the guys there, AND your friends.

But just go with friends i had a lot more fun. And my dad bought be a corsage.

don't worry if your friends don't have dates yet then the might not have dates friday. if it's bugging you that much then ask your best guy friend (single guy friend) to go with you as a friend. that way you won't feel alone

Please, please, please enjoy the dance, even if you don't have someone to go with. Enjoy with your friends and have the time of your life! One day, when you are attached, you will look back on the days when you were free and will be able to say you enjoyed them. You only live once, have fun, don't worry and who knows? Maybe you will find someone there.
