An airline ticket is a legal contract. You must be 18 to enter into a legal contract. Your parents can buy a ticket for you to fly unaccompanied but you cannot purchase the ticket yourself. The only exception is for an emancipated minor.

Children ages 5 - 12 who travel without a parent or guardian are known as "unaccompanied minors." Many airlines will not allow children who are under seven to make connections at all, but in the event a minor is old enough to change planes, they will probably be assisted by airline personnel and a fee of $40 - $75 will be charged. Some airlines, Southwest for example, will not allow any minor (5 - 11) to change planes. On US Airways, a child must be at least 15 years old to take a flight with a connection.

In the U.S., legally, the answer is NO.. you are still considered a minor, and a minor cannot purchase an airline ticket. If you read the fine print on any website, it says you must be 18 to process buying a ticket. Of course, if you have a credit card, and want to break the law, then yes, you can pretend you are 18 and purchase a ticket online. Debit cards will work, as long as they have the master card or visa card logo on them. Check your specific airline as to whether or not you have to arrive with a parent to get on the flight.

Why do you want to do this? I think you should give your parents a big hug and tell them you love them before thinking of flying off somewhere without telling them.

I can't imagine why you would want to put your parents through the worry of disappearing like that. Whatever problem you have right now, go and talk it over with them instead of running away from it.

you can go with your guardian and get a ticket ,but without parents consent your arent allowed by law as well, because according to law you are a minor who hasnt attained the age of majority i.e.18 years,so it will be good if u go with a guardian by permission of your parents.

You have to show an ID for all ticket purchases these days so I doubt it.
