I would think its because they want to be on the top throughout and when they realize there is some competition rising they feel threatened. Some people just want others to fail for no good reasons. They are plainly mean.

Hi..You know that everyone is different--You may have great looks, but be a little standoffish.OK You have a great job?, as they work at Burger-king,your attitude also plays a role, treat everyone equal, learn where they are coming from and try to help them reach their goal.Don't be afraid of asking them where they want to go in life..the answer might surprise them and you can advise them as to where to go to advance the dreams that they need to make them happy..What are they good at? And most important, what do they want to do to be happy and have the fiances to support the things that make them happy and secure.advise them, guide them with your knowledge and they will succeed!

Not feeling contented of what you have can make you feel jealous about other people.
If this jealousy motivates you to fight for what you want (of course in a good way)...then you can look at it as a good kind of jealousy.
However, it is always better to feel contented then being jealous.

they do not want them to do better than they are doing in their own lives. they are very unhappy with their lives. they are greedy. they want the sun to shine for them but the sun must always set for others. if it is a woman, she desperately wants her husband to love and appreciate her like your husband does. they are just dissatisfied with their arrangement of life.

to became jealous from someone because he has something u don't have (i.e she has an attracted personality and ppl like talking to her more than anyone else) and sometime jealous came because there is no self-confidence..
