Current trial is for DWI x 3 and probation violation. He drives drunk frequently, but has only been caught three times. He has a long history of many violations.,,.assault and bodily injury to a family member (wife), burglary, auto theft, illegal drug possession, fleeing and resisting arrest, holding up a store, threatening to kill family members, threatening arson against a family member with whom he was angry.

Parents have repeatedly been enablers, hiring the best lawers to get him probation. Rehabilitation is now being requested by his lawer. Parents hired the defense attorney. If I cooperate with the prosecution, it will cause hard feelings with my parent.

Yes. I love my family, but my own integrity is more important. In the end you have to account for yourself. And likewise they must account for themselves. Perhaps, spending a little time in prison would do them good.

If it meant that a vicious person that was hurting people were off the streets then I would have to. If it meant that McDonald's got to keep the 50 cent pack of ketchup they stole then no I wouldn't.

However having said that, I would also never lie for anyone in court.

Go with your brain on this one not your heart. Tough situation but you have to do the right thing whatever that may be.

If the sibling needs to go to the school of hard knocks, then yes.
It may stop the bad behavior. If you are ordered to testify, then you must tell the truth or you will end up in jail.

If my sibling put me in the situation of having to testify against them I would answer questions truthfully. There would be no sense getting myself in trouble to further a brother or sisters criminal behavior.

all depends on how your sibling treated you... if they showed no remorse, then the answer lies in them being given a wake ucall... and remeber, tough love.. they sure woudn't get away with disrespecting any else... why should you bear the brunt of thier anger? Time for them to face reality.. hard.. but blunt
