This is the best website I've ever used to book my cruise!! I actually call the reps to book the cruise, but look on the website for all the info I need. SAFE and full of detail! Go to www.cruisesonly.com !!

It's not a question, she is just trying to help the rest of us out.

Thanks! I'll have to check this out for the crusie we're taking in August.

I get great rates by just going to the cruise line web sites for the lines that I prefer. They have the discounted cruises there also, many times highlighted.

The other way to get discounts is use the same cruise lines over and over and book your next cruise while on ship. I have done this many times and it always saves me a couple hunderd dollars or more per cruise. Also, join the frequent cruiser clubs and they will email you the specials, like the cruises that are specifically for club members and for which they offer members discounts.

I recently booked a cruise online on the web site and there was a popup that said call the cruise line member club. When I did and gave them my booking number they reduced my price by $100.

Yes that's one good site out of many to check out cruises.

I wanted to disagree with your recommendation of booking with the cruise line Reps.

On my past 4 Cruises I received much Cheaper pricing from my Travel Agent - than from the Cruise Line.

This is because the Cruise Lines quote the individual the regular "Retail" rate with a small discount.

But Travel Agents get a much lower "Wholesale" price and even with their small commision add on the overall price is still a lot Lower than you get booking directly from the cruise line.

Plus with a T/A you can get much Cheaper and Better 3rd party Travel Insurance (versus the Cruise Line's Insurance). Also with a Travel Agent you get extra protection in case there is any problem with the Cruise Line.

They still don't have the best deals... cruisecompete.com and The Cruise Line Ltd (beatanycruiseprice.com) has always given me better deals.
