Because there are so many schooling options: private, public, specialty schools (like the museum school in NYC), there are so many different cultures, they can get to know the traditions of all of them, at least a little bit, so if they go to the native country they won't be completely rude, there are plenty of places to visit, w/o a passport!

See the movie "Lord of Wars" and then you won't have to ask that question.
To a lot of children around the world a stable life without heavy duty violence and hunger is a major thing.
Although there are a lot of children who are born into poverty in our country the vast majority are not. Also, when we say poverty in this country it isn't quite like the poverty in many parts of the world. Overall, our government is relatively stable giving us a stable life style.

Its not- hell, its to the point where you, 1. can't pull your kids away from the tv or video games, 2. its to the point where you can't even discipline your kids anymore without "abusing" them. . .
