Depends on our weight and your blood pressure.
Many people do. Some shouldn't.

Actually its a misconception that Asian folk have better health than the rest of the world. They have higher rates of bowel and intestinal cancer than any other people. Just because someone is thin, does not make them healthy. Many Asians are eating less and less of thier traditional, whole foods and opting for processed 'western' foods. Any society that follows its respective tradtional diet will be healthy.

White rice became popular after traditional societies came on contact with white people and adopted thier ways and began eating processed foods. One of the staple grains in Asian countries for many thousands of years has been whole brown rice. The outer layer, which the early white men deemed as 'rough' and 'inedible' actually contains all the nutrients, like valuable B vitamins, oils and protein. Once the outer layers, like the bran and the germ have been polished off, all you are left with is the starchy centre which is devoid of nutrients.

I would not recommend eating large amounts of white rice, which like other processed carbs, is only going to fill you up (and even then it doesnt do a very good job) and eventually lead to gaining weight. Of course once or twice a month is not going to be that bad though.
Try brown rice, or even quinoa or buckwheat, which are great alternatives to white rice.

I've heard that one should try to avoid all the white carbs because they are void of fiber and vitamins. Brown rice is better, but if you only eat a small portion of white rice once or twice a week, it should be just fine. Twice a day is not the best, maybe switch to brown?

South Koreans eat White Rice everyday; nothing wrong with them, except for their driving habits.

Ask your Physician concerning Starch intake.
