It may be the fan relay...Your local ford dealer may tell you where its located if not take it to a shop or buy a book on the car at the parts store.......

What you do is get the Haynes Repair Manual for your Year and model of vehicle at Auto Zone, or another automotive repair shop. The manual will show you what and how to do the repairs.

The book will show you where the fan thermostat control is on the vehicle. Really easy to change FYI.

On my Ford Escort the fans, stopped running. But did you know you could hot wire them to the battery, and the fans worket so that ruled them out. The only other thing was to changed the electric fan thermostat control and that was the problem.
