At least Lokasenna and GMan get the question.

Odin (because he travels the Nine Worlds) and Thor (because he's the protector of humankind). They'd both be excellent travel companions. Loki too, he might liven things up with his mischief.

Why non christians only? It isn't even about religion when you get down to it.... Did you just pick the category to single out a group golists go over board with the preaching to everyone else.of people that you don't agree with? You could have put this under something more related to traveling ... To each their own ... a vacation is a vacation despite what religion you belong to. I'd take anything associated with good fortune and safety.

Okay, now I understand and I didn't mean it in any disrespect, I was confused as to why no christians ... but the reasoning makes sense, christian evangolists go over board with the preaching to every one else because they feel that they have the supreme right to. I'm not like that, I promise, I was honestly confused but a message from the asker cleared it up. :)

hmmmm. Well first I would go with buddha since he would keep you out of jail for assault, you always need a calm collected one in the group. Next I would bring along kali (hindu god of destruction) just in case you do get into a fight. Zeus because he has absolutely no morals and will bang any girl he deems hot and purposely gets them pregnant and finally Oden since you always want the guy who will give you props for bad behavior and the only thing you need for his grace is to die with a sword in your hand (wouldn't bring Jesus because he would start talking and enevitably we would have to nail him to the pool table and make him turn all of our water into wine) (god I hope the christians aren't right cuz if they are I am so going to hell) I think that is it. There are some other deities I am missing but I don't know exactly which ones.

I'd have to take Thor cause he'd be an awesome companion. This is a really dumb question by the way. At least I get 2 points out of it.

Dagda, Lord of all Skills. He probably speaks the language their and knows local customs/taboos. That could keep me from getting lynched, accidentially married, or ripped off. Plus, He's got a great sense of humor and already dresses like He's on a permanent vacation.

Why would I spend vacation thinking about the deities I worship? Vacation is for fun. Religion is the very last thing I'd place on the list for a fun vacation.

Lugh, master of many skills. He is a warrior and would protect me. He also has connections with storms so he might ensure fair weather. And it always helps that he is young and attractive. If we are traveling by plane, we might have a bit of trouble when he tries to take his spear as a carry-on.....

I have a little Buddah I carry around.

I'm not Buddist, nor do I think of him as a God, but the little buddies cool. (:

I can't imagine taking a diety -with- me though, even as a polytheist/hedonist. I guess it might depend on where I'm going and why. o_O;
