By the previous responses I am amazed at how I seem to be able to have a great time without ever violating the law.
Maybe you need different hobbies.

Sometimes it is because western culture is largely based on christianity, and christianity generally frowns upon self indulgent acts or act that are fun (rather than productive).
Sometimes it is to protect you from harming others or yourself.
Keep in mind some it depends on what you call fun. Some people have a very sick idea about what is fun. Some people like to inflict their 'fun' upon others.
Sometimes the Government just acts to control the population as well. If we are all out having a good time then who keep the wheels of comerce turning. There is big money to be made in keeping the population unhappy.

I have asked this question several times and always get stupid answers, it seems every thing is fun is also illegal, and we live in a Christan country and the Bible specifically tells you ( to drink and be merry for tomorrow you may die) kind of backazzwards don't you think?? I also asked since the prophets all had several wives , why can't I ??? you know women do get tired you know, and this way if she was tired or had a head ache you could go to another one and preserve her, so who would complain???

sex isn't immoral! God created sex as a astonishing present to be shared between ONE guy AND ONE lady!!!! Our international treats sex like it isn't any longer some thing and it does look immoral, notwithstanding it isn't any longer.
