I've been praying for proof from a dream for ages. Still haven't gotten any proof. If God can't provide proof then the subject is false.

Answers like "it's all up to your faith" are not valid answers.

I practiced Islam once, and the religion both does not appeal to me and does not work...I don't like a religion that tells it's followers to kill the unbelievers. Or to fast for 30 days (which I can't do) or pray 5 times a day...etc, etc.

It's important to define faith. Maybe knowing that will help you, since you are trying so hard.

Faith = Trust. You have to trust God through Jesus Christ-- that's the main theme of the book. It worked for me, and I have something wlse to say; Be encouraged! Because you cannot WANT to come to God unless he chooses you. ( :

Did you notice all the bad things people have to say about God? They act as if they don't care about the whole blooming thing. But you! You want to know him! That's great. Now trust him for something-- that's an act of faith. He did say to speak; spewaking is a verb and verbs describe an action. "Faithing" hence is "Trusting." Pick a promise that God gave and tell him you trust him for it. For people that are just coming into Christianity it's typical that they 'seek the kingdom first' -- and it's good advice!

So what did he say? Paul knew as he quoted more than a few verses out of the Old Testament:
Romans 10:8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,"[d] that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."[e] 12For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."[f]

So nevermind what everyone else says; do!

I am not sure why anything has to be proved? You did not create God, and you are not the center of the universe. But you seem to be the type that only can believe what you can 1.see 2.hear 3.smell 4.touch or 5.taste. You are not alone, besides a host of atheist and agnostic people in the world you have the whole animal, fish, insect, plant, and micro-biology world that would think no different than you. I cannot believe what I cannot see.
But some people, not just Christians either can feel and sense another world some good and some bad. These people that sense this world are called spiritual and they do contact a spiritual world, you maybe ask how do you contact this world and I would say in your spirit body you have exactly the same ways to contact this world 1. affection 2. memory 3. conscious 4. reasoning 5. imagination. With these senses you do contact a spirit world and in this world do live angels and demons, demons do mean things to you and cause you harm while angels do you good, but you have a sense or your senses do connect you to this world.
You can say no I do not, but then you cannot love, hate, get angry or sad, go insane, have evil thoughts, think of murder stealing and destroying your friends family and enemies. All of these thoughts come from a spirit world. Your doubts arrogance and pride do all come from a source also in a spirit world.
God has no need to prove to you anything if you are not a child of God, but inside of your spirit is another body that is your connection to either God or the Devil depending on who your daddy is; your words do say the devil is your father to even ask for proof; God is a God of Love Light Truth Joy Peace and Happiness, if you have any of these then you do not need proof because you are proof in yourself, and if you lack these things you are lost. Only you can change your ideas about where you want to live forever in Hell or eternity in Heaven, But if you do not believe the Bible you are called an unbeliever and no proof would change you . But if you accept God as true then you live by faith and in things you cannot see hear taste feel or smell. Witches do this why can't you? If you see evil and the Devil then you see God also.

Well, no, there is no proof. There is, however, evidence and logical reasoning that can lead one to rationally conclude that Jesus Christ lived on earth, that he was executed, and even that he rose from the dead.

I will assume that you mean can the beliefs of Christians be proven, or can the tenets of the Christian faith be proven rather than can we prove Christianity exists. It is obvious that you know that a religion called Christianity exists, the question is whether or not its beliefs are True.

The proof is not in the heavens, despite the quotation from the Psalms above. In context, that passage seems to be more about the need for the proof of the existence of God to be evident in the lives of those who believe in him. Unfortunately, it often is not.

The evidence comes in many places. Check out the several books by Lee Strobel: The Case for Christ, The Case for Faith, and The Case for a Creator. While not perfect in every aspect, they are a great starting point.

Can science disprove God? Science can't even prove itself. By its very nature scientific thought will always change. Steven Hawking shocked the scientific community by changing his views to say that black holes are not infinitely dense but that they actually destroy matter/energy completely. High School physics teachers still teach their students theories of gravity proposed by Newton, but Einstein "disproved" their validity (even though they are still a useful, if simple model and teaching tool). Einstein has been and is being reevaluated.

While all things on Earth seem to change (even Christianity), I would rather place my faith (yes my faith, because at some point even the diehard agnostic or atheist is confronted with such a necessary leap in order to sustain their own reasoning and deeply held beliefs) in something that is unchanging and everlasting. This I find in the God of the Bible, in Jesus Christ, and again, supported by external evidence and logic to support the existence of this God and his only begotten son, Jesus, the Christ.

This is the thing. If you go by the New Testament, the justification for you not getting a straight answer is the passage of Jesus vs. The Devil where Jesus quotes the Deuteronomy and said "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' " so in other words, you can't ask for a proof like that.

Now, if Love and Faith are not enough for you (and please don't buy that "He respects your free-will" line) then you can go and hunt Miracles (and I mean hardcore ones, not things like a sunset or "how my kid got better from the flu because I prayed") from past and present (several religions claim to have physical proofs of such events, you may start with the Lanciano Eucaristic Miracle or with Sathya Sai Baba.)

Note: If you find something interesting, don't hesitate and share your experience with me.

Umm...ok...Before you ask a question like this read the Bible. It says that Jesus already showed proof when he walked here on earth. Have you ever heard that faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, is the key in Christianity. You may not pray for proof and it work because the Lord is there but he is not going to pop in your ear and say boo. He already gave proof. What you need now is faith. Christians themselves are walking proof. We are the Lord's servants. We have faith. Once you are saved the Lord will whisper in your ear. I once was told a story from a guy at my church camp when I was younger about how he was in a restaurant and the Lord whispered to him things about his waitress in his ear and told him to help her. Tde waitress was pregnant and had been going through a really hard time and the only was the pastor knew that was because the Lord whispered it to him and told him details. The pastor ended up speaking to the woman and the woman was surprised how he knew so much aout her and the pastor ended up helping the woman. God works in many different ways.

If faith is proven it stops being faith, and becomes obervable fact. I think to answer your question, there are two types on faith/belief that people have. Dogmatic faith, where they believe in something because they were taught to. Or faith based on direct experience of God.

You are looking for the second type. I have heard people claim direct experience of God, and frankly I generally tend to be very skeptical. I can't say they are lieing, but I can say I have no evidence, or experience of it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of agnosticism! We can never be proven wrong because we refuse to take a position without direct personal proof :-)

No Christianity cannot be proven, that's why it's called faith when you believe in it. If there was any proof at all then faith would not be required to believe in it.

There's no proof so it's believed through faith alone by some, however you can believe absolutely anything at all through faith alone but all the faith in the world doesn't make any of it true.

Well, you can argue subjects or make points of this or that, and have points made against those from now on. I would offer this challenge, Prove Any Religion. Also you need to define the term Christianity as referred to in your question, and for the coup de grace, it is wether or not you believe, that is the whole point really, for people that do believe it doesnt have to be proven, for those that dont, they are looking (in some cases) for proof. God answers us on his own timetable.

Jesus did live and breathe, the Bible exists, so yes the religion exists. I think you mean "Can God be proven?" I see proof everyday, but honestly no, he can't be physically proven or disproved... and sorry but yes, it's all up to faith. You either have it or you don't. I do for some strange reason and it doesn't impede my life so I must be one of the lucky ones.

People are confusing Christianity with God, asking if Christianity can be proven is like asking if Islam can be proven ...think about it. (meaning that they are both man made institutions, organized religions exist...period. come on now people)

I remember feeling like you once. Ill try to explain. The bible says we worship God in spirit and truth. Keep this in mind. At one point in my life, I was the next best thing to an athiest you could find. I had prayed the sinners prayer many times;.....nothing! Finally, after many years of wandering aimlessly through life; stoned, drunk, desperate to find meaning in this pointless life. By that, I mean its hard to find meaning in living to work, to pay taxs, and then to just die! Ocasionally I would find some distraction that would keep me busy for awhile. Usually getting me into more and more trouble!
Finally I remember one night, feeling very much at the end of myself. Not suicidal or anything like that, but just tired of trying anymore. I looked up and said, God, if there's more than this, if there's another way, if it's not too late, show me, please help!
That prayer changed my life; it wasn't the greatest faith filled prayer, but it was honest!
At the time, there was no miraculous bolt of lightening from heaven that came down and struck me,( that came later) but God does have his ways of answering. He is incredibly loving and kind, and gentle, and knows how to speak to each of us as individuals. So that you know that you know that you know!
Later on, The Lord told me that when I prayed my almost faithless prayer that night, it had been the first time in my life that I actually meant it. It did'nt take me long to realize that this was true. I think He wait's patiently for us to really, truly want his help.
Hope this help's ........ God bless
