ask anyone and this is how they would describe me (besides knowing my salary) so why do I sit at home cutting myself? I love shaving razors - they rip so many layers of skin off.

I'm not worried about being judged by people on here. I know about cutting. I've done it for 16 years, and I wrote a 30 page paper on those freaks as my dissertation. The act I put on for the real world is different than how I feel when alone (obviously).

Please you need help, before it gets worse. don't make yourself puke or cut yourself. it sounds like you have lonely issues and maybe some mental issues that can be solved. but don't waste your life away, your here for a reason and it worries me that you thinking/doing things to yourself. you need to talk to someone. if you can't with your family then talk to a therapist or some counseling. as old as you are your body can only take so much until its gives up, you seem to have a great career and is obviously looking for help and putting all your personal information on your myspace page. if your trying to reach out to someone then your family is where it starts. If you feel you have overweight problem, your not alone..and this can be done in a healthier way to loose the weight. but bulimia will cause a problem to your body and it could end up killing you please consider what i am saying and get some help. i care and i hope for the best for you.

I hope you are kidding. Otherwise, Girl, you need help. Go see a therapist. They won't judge you like people might on here. Or if you want to hear the reasons from other cutters why they do it too, try rephrasing the question with the shocking key word visible in the first part of the question. Otherwise they may overlook this question. Good luck.

there are too many contradictory innuendos in your question...
successfull..happy..confident..profesional.. finances..vagary as to relationships..
Try some subjectivity..it will give your query more credence.
in the interim, be kind to yourself...in some 'tomorrow' you will remember you once asked this question, and you will wonder if it was really 'you'....things change...we change...life changes... our views change...our situations change..and we struggle to resist in vain. These conflicts are always temporary, there are new one for us to meet at every turn, life is filled with them, it's our way of meeting them that matters.
like every one else, i encourage you to find a therapist or counselor,.. things will happen if you invest something of yourself out side your own rationality. Try it.

Sounds like you might possibly have a mental condition that predisposes you to self-mutilation. It is a known condition that can be successfully treated with medications and counseling.

Sounds like boredom to me.
Try finding a hobby, or someone to have a romantic relationship with.
