Look into doing plyometrics. These are exercises specifically geared toward increasing sport specific movements like the vertical jump. I could write a ton here about it but it would be best for you to peruse some of these articles:

Leg exercises such as squats and deallifts will help a lot. Believe it or not, working out your upper body will help a lot, too. Remember you shouldn't work out the same body part two days in a row. If you haven't done these before, start out slow, perhaps one or two sets each with very light weights so you can get used to the movement. If you can, find someone who is experienced and knowledgeable to show you how.

1st day - squats and lots of them. not the weak girly kind, but the ones with a barbell. if you do not know the proper form for doing squats with a barbell, you should ask someone, cuz it can really hurt your back if you do not do it correctly .start small (45 plates on each side) and do this for several months until you can squat nearly twice your own weight. you should notice a good difference in your vertical.
2nd day - run with leg weights (5lbs each leg). get comfortable with the extra weight, you might even want to wear them around while doing your daily routine.
3rd day - break, or if you recover quickly you can start day 1 again or do more running with weights.
4th day - day 1
90 day - start dunking on little kids

throw in some calf raises when ur bored.

Make yourself some ankle weights.Start off with like 3 lbs. on each leg. And increase the weight every couple of days not by much, but just a little and just walk with the weights on. This will increase the muscle in your legs and thighs.
