I'm 19 years old and I've waited and prepared a long time for this. I'm being responsible and I'm using depo provera, along with a condom, that needless to say, numbed both me and my partner 'causing him to go limp in like 15 minutes. I love my partner to death and he loves me. But anyways, with each thrust, and he was goin' slow, it hurt REALLY bad. I was on my period. So there wasn't any foreplay, but the condom was lubricated. I was producing some lubrication, but apparently not enough. And to answer the main question, my partner isn't huge. So, that couldn't be the problem. I am though, 4'10.2. Could I be smaller down in that area and that cause this problem? Is this pain normal? Will it be like this next time?

Honey, It does hurt horribly the first time. It will probably also hurt the next few times as well(probably no more than 3-5 times). You might possibly have some spotting and aching in your groin area after intercourse the first few times as well. Just stick with it, it will get much easier and feel MUCH better. You should try some foreplay first and see if that helps. You can also try KY Jelly or Astroglide to see if it makes it easier.

Lubrication is the key. Get some KY jelly to use (it won't cause the condom to become ineffective), make sure you are lubricated well. The first time hurts due to the breaking of the hymen muscle which can be slightly painful to excruciatingly painful. Also make sure your boyfriend has the proper sized condom. A condom too small will cut off blood flow and cause the limpness but a too big one will just fall off and you may have to go searching internally for it. Foreplay is extremely important too, it doesn't matter if it is that time of the month or not, if you don't get properly excited then it just isn't the same even with lube. If he doesn't want to touch you there because of blood then maybe he shouldn't be touching you there at all during that time of the month, hands wash.

Honey, on my wedding night, we realized that we didn't exactly fit, if you know what I mean. I actually was instructed by a doctor to take a pair of latex gloves and KY Jelly and stretch myself. It was uncomfortable to me until the first child came along. Hence, the problem ended.

That's gutsy of you to come to yahoo answers for this question considering you're probably going to get a lot of terrible, immature, disgusting responses. But I hope I'm wrong. Good luck with everything though.

the first time ALWAYS hurts no matter what. Don't worry after that it would hurt that bad....just wait a couple days later and it won't even hurt at all!!
