1.The true religion has respect for God's word, not watering it down, using some parts and disregarding others-2 Timothy 3:16,17 2. It is "no part of the world". It doesn't get involved in politics, nationalism or class struggles-John 17:16 3. It has as it's members people who have "love among themselves". They do not go to war against one another. They are not divided by various religious differences-John 13:35;1 Corinthians 1:10 Ask yourself: 1. What religion has members who are known for their strong moral values? 2. What religion is well known for expelling unrepentant wrongdoers? 3. What religion has not taken up the attitude that certain sexual practices, once thought of as sinful, are now o.k.? 4. Which religion refuses to go to war, get involved in politics, nationalism or class struggles? 5. Which religion has members who, worldwide, do not believe that we have an immortal soul, that God and Jesus are part of a trinity, the wicked, after death, are alive being eternally tormented? Look for the one that has all of this and you will find the true religion.

You don't know, you just believe. For Christians, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life towards the father. You either belief this or you don't.
Without belief, there is no religion. ( I take the broader meaning of religion; religion is a way of life.)
True religion, like true love, is something you experience. Once you find it, you will never let go. The only problem is how long can you grasp it.

It is said that all matters can be settled where 2 or more witnesses agree. Take all world religions and pull everything out where 2 or more of them agree discarding everything else, put it all together and you will wind up with a truer religion.
Probably the number one thing that almost all religions testify to and agree on is the ethic of reciprocity, or the golden rule.

I am happy you posed this question, because I feel that the world would be better if all people loved their religion and understood they may be right or wrong, but not judge others. Though I disagree with the concept of religion I am accepting of everyone.

I don't feel that my spiritual path is the One True Faith. In fact, that very idea demeans the human spirit. Why would every single human culture and tribe have different perspectives and concepts on the nature of human spirituality, but only one is the right one? That is illogical and extreme. Extremists are dangerous to free thought and democracy, look at Iran.

Sanatana Dharma(eternal religion of the soul with the supersoul) is not catering to the needs of just a limited few isms, viz., Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Mohammedianism, Chirstianism, Zorastarisnism etc... Sanatana Dharma is universal and it includes the sectarian teachings of different isms because it accepts that God has given different people according to time, place and circumstances different ways to achieve him by giving Vedas, Bible, Quran etc....
Sanatana Dharma says, that everyone become happy, not just christians, muslims, hindus, buddhists etc...

When it fits your heart and your personal beliefs. There is no true religion but their is true faith, as long as it is in your heart and it helps you through life and in turn you help others, after all isn't that what religion is all about, helping one another and making friends that share the same beliefs.

I don't. I know it is what I believe and that is what is important, my faith and how it effects my social values, compassion, charity and thoughfulness in daily life towards myself and others. It's cool that others believe in it too, but if there is another religion that people get the same result from... awesome, its good to be unique and individual. The Crusades have been over for years!! :-D
