Invisible Pink Unicorn! I knew you were real all along!!
Okay, all kidding aside ... this is a good question. I think its kind of like when your a kid, and you start a club that meets in your treehouse. If your the one who makes up the club, then you get to decide who can be in it ... when it starts and when its over ... and what the rules are. Not because you are any more or less qualified than anyone else, you get to decide because it was your idea.
From the Christian point of view, the whole universe was God's idea, so he gets to run the show. God existed before the universe, so there wasn't really anyone else to make up right and wrong I guess. The main problem that I have with the Bible (and I'm speaking as a believer here) is that many times God takes a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. Its only so long before the club members start to think on their own and decide that if there's a president, he should abide by the rules as well.

God's very nature is to do right. He does abide by his Word. He can make a Covenant with His People. He made a Covenent with the Israelites, and he made a New Covenant with the followers of Jesus Christ. He abides by this covenant.
God is very mysterious, because his ways are beyond our understanding. Try not to analyze God from your own views of the world, because God has the power to enlighten you if you will allow him to. The New Covenant is that if we repent (turn away from and admit) from our sins (evil), and follow Jesus Christ as our personal savior we will be saved.
I used to follow a religion because my family told me to do so, but when I was 13 I made a decsion to follow God, not any religion, but you must follow the Bible, because the Bible contains God's covenant, and his plan for your life.

Well, did you help Him (God) in making the universe? Did He ask you how to make a tree? I guess He did it all on His own. Hmmm
In the Bible it says that God Jehovah is all knowing, all wise, all seeing and all powerful. Take it from there and ask yourself why you don't believe what Jesus said and be honest with yourself. what God power do you have? Who are you to tell God that He is wrong about anything. How is it that you have the audacity to tell God how to do anything? With God being perfect, that also means that He does no sin, no wrong. That He is righteous in His judgments.
