After Jesus died on the cross, and fulfilled all the things that were written about him in the law, the prophets, and the psalms, ALL the old law was set aside forever, and we were left with the 2 great commandments, and nothing else.
Mat 5:17 Do not think that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For amen I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot, or one tittle shall not pass of the law, TIL ALL BE FULFILLED.
Joh 19:28 Afterwards, Jesus knowing THAT ALL THINGS WERE NOW ACCOMPLSIHED, that the scripture MIGHT BE FULFILLED, said: I thirst.
Joh 19:29 Now there was a vessel set there, full of vinegar. And they, putting a sponge full of vinegar about hyssop, put it to his mouth.
Joh 19:30 Jesus therefore, when he had taken the vinegar, said: It is consummated. And bowing his head, he gave up the ghost.
Luk 24:44 And he said to them: These are the words which I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that ALL THINGS must needs be fulfilled which are written in the law of Moses and in the prophets and in the psalms, concerning me.
Luk 24:45 Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
Act 13:38 Be it known therefore to you, men, brethren, that through him forgiveness of sins is preached to you: and from all the things from which you COULD NOT be justified by the law of Moses.
Rom 3:20 Because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified before him. For by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3:21 But now, without the law, the justice of God is made manifest, being witnessed by the law and the prophets.
Rom 3:22 Even the justice of God, by faith of Jesus Christ, unto all, and upon all them that believe in him: for there is no distinction.
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned and do need the glory of God.
Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Rom 3:25 Whom God hath proposed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to the shewing of his justice, for the remission of former sins,
Rom 3:26 Through the forbearance of God, for the shewing of his justice in this time: that he himself may be just and the justifier of him who is of the faith of Jesus Christ
Rom 3:27 Where is then thy boasting? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith.
Rom 3:28 For we account a man to be justified by faith, without the works of the law.
The Bible is very clear on this point, as are the teachings of the church.
There is also no scriptural provision or rationale for selective Christian observance of only SOME of the old laws.
After a time, the Church, according to the power and authority Jesus provided to it, readapted and readopted the spirit of original commandments to the new covenant realities.
No one other than the church could have done this. The Bible has no such authority or language, and in any case, the new testament of the Bible did not yet exist, at that time.
Now, none of the old laws apply to Christians, in any way.
Judaism and all it's temporary practices have been obsolete for centuries, and will never, ever, be legitimately revived.
All those who attempt to do so, simply revive the curse of the old law and bring it down on themselves.
Why continue to cling to these dangerous falsehoods? Your position is flatly wrong!
The laws and commandments of the old testament are no more. The new ones listed below are in full effect, and apply to all Christians, everywhere.
The ExistingTen Commandments of the Universal New Covenant (Catholic) Church
1. I am the Lord, your God. You shall have no other gods besides Me.
2. You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
4. Honor your father and your mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
10. You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.
The Great Commandments
Jesus was asked by a lawyer which of the Ten Commandments were the greatest. His response: "Matt.22:36-40: Master, which is the great commandment in the law? (37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) The second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (40) On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

We should obey all government laws, PROVIDING, these laws do not contradict God's laws.
(Romans 13:1-2) Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. 2Â Therefore he who opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will receive judgment to themselves.
This scripture places a great responsibility on the governmental authorities to do the right thing by us all who obey them.
