You have not said about the symptom arising out of uric acid retention in the blood... I had joint pains and my Yoga teacher said that the uric acid and other toxins are not effectively (fully) eliminated and hence such problems arise... He advised me to take the juice of banana stem early in the morning (first thing from bed).

A small piece of the stem has to be made into bits and soaked in buttermilk overnight, taken out and crushed in the mixie after removing the fibres that float (for the ease of crushing) and after decanting, the juice is taken in empty stomach.. This I did quite a few years ago.. with good impact.

Of course I was taking other treatments like massage, exercise etc and the combined result could have worked for a faster relief... but the teacher was a seasoned man and his words should be true... If there is no problem of sinusitis etc that would not permit taking cold things in the morning, you may try this..

Have a word with naturopaths and you will have a lot of easy tips on elimination of toxins... A course of raw food (selected for the person by the naturopath / yoga teachers also have fairly good knowledge of diet for health) would do wonders. One of my young woman staff used to take "fruit fasting" off and on after a kidney by-pass surgery... She used to advise me to take more natural (raw) food for relief from the range of complaints (hyper acidity, piles, joint pains etc)...

Good luck.

I have heard that eating a lot of meat will increase uric acid levels, not sure if this is true but you might want to research it.
