I have a blast with my kids at the playground. I had forgotten how fun being so young was. We are being given a second chance to enjoy our youth through our children. I love teaching my daughters how to do new things like the monkey bars, and how to swing using your legs.

I guess I am the odd one out ! I hated doing it - very very dull and boring. But I know the kids loved it - so I endured. I am sure it will pay off in the long run. And being a parent is a lifetime of sacrifice - so what more a few hours letting them have fun in a boring playground ? !

I for one have a BALL! I can get to go down the slide with my wee ones without looking like an idiot, I can run through the sprinkler with them on a hot day ( with clothes on ) and not look foolish, I can sit with them in a sand box and be creative as an artist, or imagine I'am one,(smile), I can yell WEEEE as I push their swing at the top of my lungs and not be arrested for disturbing the peace, but most important of all, I can fill their absobent minds with memories of chuckles, giggles and fun.Now thats something I derive tons of pleasure from!!!

For me yes. It is so wonderful seeing how your child interacts with other kids the same age. But while you play with your child, you are bonding with them, and its like their love for you comes pouring out all at once. It may seem boring to you, but for your kids, it is very stimulating and it over joys them. Try to make it more fun by adding things to it to make it better, for instance, when I push my 2 year old on a swing, I will tickle his legs as he comes back to me, and when he slides, I meet him half way down and race to the bottom. Anything you do will be alot of fun for them because after all, you are mommy (daddy) and there is nothing more that kids love.

The joy comes from seeing them smile and giggle with delight as you push them higher or see them slide down the slide. It's only when they hit 6 or 7 and start demanding trips to laser shooting ranges and snow boarding places with their friends while you must remain out of sight unless they need to make a withdrawal from your wallet that the joy starts to fade a bit.

Sure it can be boring at times, but most of the time you get joy out of the things that makes your child happy. It gives you a chance to bond with your child and it lets them know that you are interested in spending time with them.

I love to take to my son to the park. I'm happy seeing the joy in is face. I prefer to go with another family so I have another adult to talk to, but its not necessary. I enjoy the time I have with my son. Whether at the park playing or snuggling during the 50th viewing of his new favorite movie. Just my two cents.

I enjoy it!
I like to see my child socialize and have the courage to try something new.
What's not to enjoy about hearing your child run around and laugh for an hour or two?
Aside from that - it's a chance to talk to other adults and exchange war stories.
