Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)

There are too interpretations of the term "religious", to answer clearly. There is no "religious" act that will save you on the day of judgment. So let me give the clear answer as to how to obtain eternal life...
Ask God for mercy and repent and turn from your sins. Trust that the penalty for your sins has been paid by the death and resurrection of Jesus.
If you have done that, read your Bible. The scriptures answer the rest.

Religion in my eyes signifies ritual. In the case of Christianity, these rituals are not necessary to enter into heaven, but they can be used as tools to help reinforce precepts. For example, going to church on Sunday doesn't save you, but it sure does help you out as a Christian (well, depending on the church you attend, sadly, and I don't mean what denomination).
I have seen enough evidence to convince myself of God's love, and I have seen the ways that Christianity matches up with the state of the world, and I am thoroughly convinced that no one who has heard the gospel will enter the kingdom of Heaven unless they repent from their old self and accept Christ's sacrifice. I'm not really sure what happens to those who never hear the word of God (if you look closely, the Bible doesn't really say).
It's not about condemnation, it's about freedom.

If you are worried about it then maybe you should find out for yourself if there is a heaven and if there is how you would get there. I don't know about you but I would much rather work at it in this life and find out for sure that way you aren't surprised when the time comes.

if you are saved and believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died on the cross for our sins, and that he was buried for 3 day, rose and walked on the earth for a time before he ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand on God, and will one day return for us that or saved and will take us to heaven ...if you haven't asked him to come into your heart and save you, then you are not saved and no you will not go to heaven when you die
if you want to be saved ..I can help you just email me

You have better chance of going to heaven than those so called "religious" who have hatred for other religions and have their mind corrupted with hatred thoughts and intolerance.

Religion doesnt save you. The Bible speaks badly about religion.

yeah, you'll be buried and rot, or be cremated, and you'll be recycled accordingly, and after awhile the sun will eat the earth and then (I think) eventually go nova or whatever, and at some point a black hole will eat it all, and that will evaporate, and then we'll all be in the heavens. it's not at all what it's cracked up to be though. real cold there.

You must be born again, spiritually, that is. This is by repenting of your sins, accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and being baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All in this life, and as soon as possible in order to try to beat death to the punch.

The only way anyone gets to heaven is repentance of their sin, and believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for their sins.
