Depending upon the injuries to the motorcyclist, and if you are at fault for the accident, you might be liable if your insurance does not cover the total amount of the damages.
Contact your insurance agent and ask them what your policy liability coverage limits are. Get a lawyer also, if you do not have one.

Anyone can sue you for anything. Do you have auto insurance? If so, your insurance should be paying to represent you in court, and if you lose your insurance would cover your penalty up to the limit of your policy. If you have no insurance, you should hire a lawyer for sure. Even if you have insurance, you may want to hire a lawyer to see what he/she thinks. Whether the plaintiff would win in court depends on who's fault the accident was.

If its filed in the police report and your insurance has this information. Contact your insurance company and let them know. You can also call lawyers and ask for a free consultation. If you need a lawyer, you can try a counter-suit for the cost of the lawyer.

If you have no assedts, they will go after your insurance. ?They are after money so why would they sue you for what you dont have. They will hit your insurance and if they sue for more than what was covered they will find you have no money and it will end.
If you broke a law or were intoxicated you would have worries.
If it was part his fault they will take that percentage into consideration for any payout.

You have auto insurance, right? If so, you should be perfectly fine. Their lawyers will take care of everything and represent you. It isn't really you being sued, but your insurance company.

So you pulled out in front of a motorcycle and your biggest concern is you will have to pay him for the rest of your life?
What about his life? Was he badly injured?

Don't sweat it. That's why there's such a thing as "Liability Insurance" (I presume you do have insurance?). Let the insurance company fight it out for you. Send any and all correspondence to them; that's why they get the "big bucks".
