No. If humans stop learning in pursuant to their aspirations its spirit simply body hopping to continue learning. That's what reincarnation is all about. There won't be mental activities after physical death because what follows after it would be the soul dissolution. But the drive in our spirit shall continue the quest to achieve perfection thru rebirth and death.

Its why I say it takes more than a beating heart to be alive. Much much more.
And frankly, I'd rather be dead than be a vegetable. I can't think of anything worse.
