Are the dreams of my deceased sister and dad coming from them, or my memories?

People say the deceased come to you in dreams. My sister committed suicide (bipolar) and my dad died of heart trouble. Both went without saying goodbye. Are they trying to reach me or is this just wishful thinking?

I truly believe that they are coming to you in your dreams. A yr and 1/2 ago I went to bed feeling great, I had a dream that my friend who died about 6 yrs earlier was at my door. In my dream he told me that I was going to experience a very difficult time in life but everything would be OK, he would be there for me. I woke up not knowing what to think of it..Why after all these years would he come to me in a dream. Later that day my son died. So, yes I firmly believe that the deceased can come to you for what ever reason. Bless you I will keep you in my prayers.

I had a dream last night about my sister who died 5 years ago so I googled it hoping to find some meaning and came across your post.

My sister also committed suicide which was attributed to the same reason you have said. Recently I have been having more and more dreams about her which I have put down to the fact I am approaching the age at which she died.

I like to think that she is trying to reach me and that she is happier where she is as in these dreams her behaviour is much like before she became ill. In my dreams my sister appears in her late teens so these could be memories but the situations that take place are things that I cannot remember doing.

Do you speak with either of them in these dreams?

At times we dream about deceased relatives or friends simply because we miss them. These dreams may be disturbing but most likely are a form of wish-fulfillment or are based on memory through which we relive old experiences. Some people believe that in dreams they meet up with the deceased on the inner planes and engage in "real" interactions with them. It is normal to miss and long for the people that we loved and that have left the physical body. Therefore, it is not surprising that they will pop up in our dreams from time to time.

I beleive only you can aswer that question. Despite what anyone else here says. There is still an enigma to dreams for us. We can't really see what's going on. We can only measure brain waves. There's still alot we don't know. Either way, I believe these dreams are a kind of closure for you.
I like to keep an open mind about these things. So I beleive yes, it's possible that some part of them is simply reaching to you to say goodbye.
But that is what I would like to beleive. I'm sure others will tell you differently.
All in all, it's up to you how you interpret them.

That's a good question. My grandpa died in '89 and I was told that if you touched them or kissed them goodbye, you wouldn't have bad dreams about them. Well, I did kiss him on his forehead. And I haven't had nightmares. But have had an occasional dream. Once where he came to visit and brought a bucket of KFC chicken and told me to make sure "the little one" got some of it. That would've been my little girl. I like to believe he was visiting me and letting us know that he was okay. I did take my daughter to KFC and got her some chicken soon after that dream.

I believe your father and/or your sister could be visiting you, too. I'd be interested in knowing if you were thinking of them before falling asleep though. Or sometimes during that day.....

the dead visiting you in your dream IS impossible. you simply miss them. please don't ever think that they are trying to communicate with you, it could get you involved in some REALLY deep stuff.
