It sounds desperate, and a lot like he has no self-esteem at all. But....men do tend to stay with their wives. I have a friend and she was in pretty much your exact same circumstances, and I warned her about this as well. She ended up getting hurt, because he "chose" his wife she was devastated. There are so many memories and feelings there that go so far back you couldn't even reach them, and if there are children involved that alone to most men is the clincher. And it's funny too, because this guy's wife was also a cheater. I think they've chalked it up to "got ya back". Just move on you deserve so much more and I think you know that deep down. Good Luck.

Yep he has a problem. I would run the other way because he will be this way till he sees a reason to do otherwise.
My hubby and I have been married about 15 yrs. 5 years before we met he was with a woman for 20 years. She cheated on him every chance she got. He wouldn't leave he just put up with it. One day she cheated and found the man she stayed with. He moped around for five years then we got together.
25 yrs he lived in misery.
This guy your talking about is probably no different

You answered a big part of it all by yourself--so this guy has emotional issues and is probably reacting or explaining this in a silly way---get away from him and don't expect anyother answer. It is a free world and he can do whatever he wants. And why is he even talking to you about it??? He is your ex right?? Sounds pathetic to remain in contact---In love??? What is there to love about him-??- Get a grip and move on.He should be talking to his cheating ex wife---by the way--she is no longer an ex---she is back.

My boyfriend said something similar.
It is very low self esteem on the guys part. Generally, he's not worth it.
Guys can be reallt pathetic and messed up when it comes to lvoe and relationships. Just ignore him, leave him, whatever you need to do. He can't love you, so why waste your love on him?

He sounds completely gutless and afraid to face real life head on. You are better off without him.

He's a spineless jelly-fish that obviously likes to be treated badly. Try to be glad he has removed himself from your life, and don't let him back in. You deserve better.
