Although I have never heard of this, here is some information about it:
Pigment dispersion syndrome is where the pigment from the back of the iris is released, most likely from rubbing with other structures of the eye. In about half of the time, this progresses to pigmentary glaucoma. It is possible to spontaneously improve in a certain number of people but it is impossible to predict who will be in that group and who will be in the group to go on and develop glaucoma. There is some debate that making a small hole in the iris if done early enough may help this condition. The data is not definite and this is something you can discuss with your ophthalmolgist. The other option is close observation to detect any early signs of glaucoma or eye pressure problems.
