See the below links for an excellent Anti-Virus program, AVG 7.5, and also then the free firewall called Zone Alarm. Download both, and install them.

Windows comes with a firewall. Computer Associates or you might find them as CA as they often go by used to have a free trial offer for an antivirius program that will be for a year. A lot of freebies only last 30 to 90 days. You are under no obligation to buy. I had the CA on mine from 2006 to 2007 or I should say till Nov of 2006 from Nov of 2005.

AVG makes a very good free antivirus program. Just google AVG Free and follow the download links. You can just use Windows firewall as long as you have a good virus scanner.
