Now... you guys know nothing about me. Only information from me is that I'm a 19 year old female atheist.

So... WHY do I supposedly need saving? (Christians being directed here.) And why? What will I get out of this (is it positive? How do you know? And don't say it's because of the Bible) and what have I done to need it in the first place?

Seriously... answer me this.

I agree Gemma. They use circular reasoning.

They can offer you no non-Biblical answer, and will say so.

Then you will ask why you should even believe in the Bible, to which the answer is, "Because it says so in the Bible." So you see their problem.

Better to accept that there is nothing to be saved from, and move forward from there.

You don't need to be saved if you don't want to.
It's your choice.
If you want to be judged righteously for everything you have done in your life both good and evil go right ahead.
My preference though is that I'd rather not come into judgment since I am a very bad sinner.

The reason why I believe in God and believe in heaven/hell is because yes the Bible says so. However, before you accuse me of going into "the bible says so" argument to support my faith, I'd have to say I'm convinced that the scriptures are divine in it's origin. I have done a lot of meticulous study throughout the years and probably have read the Bible many times over. I can come to only one conclusion and that is the Bible could not have been penned with a human mind. This I know is impossible. That's the basis for why I believe in God and in the scriptures.

Well, if you look at it from a non-believer's view, you can see that Christianity brings other things besides the benefits that God has to offer (spiritually). Recently my church nd other churches and others were at Orange Cove City helping feed hundreds of people that lost jobs due to the freezing of the Oranges there (My church/Pastor was actually the first response). Also, if you think of it another way, many people love the idea that their lives are goverened by a greater being. Many of us strive every day to become greater ourselves, so that other people can see how blessed we are, and then wonder why we always have that smile on our face even when we just went through something terrible. It is the knowledge that God exists and that he is there with us, that keeps us going from day to day. I encourage you to just try it at least once if you haven't already, find/make a Christian friend, and go with that person to church (it'll scare the hell out of you ^_^).

From a Christian viewpoint I would say that we need saving because we have all sinned and are all going accountable to God on judgement day. So wouldn't you want to be safe from hell (assuming you believe in it)?

Well hopefully you get some good answers out of this, thanks for taking the time in reading.

Everyone has sinned. If you are honest, you will agree that you have sinned in your life. You have cheated or lied, even once...this is a sin and you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus died on a cross to take upon Himself the punishment for every single sin ever committed. But you have one thing yet to do; to confess your sin, and accept Jesus as your savior.

You question is, why do you need to be saved? Because if you are not, you will be eternally separated from God and end up in hell....where no one would ever choose to be.

When we all reach the age of knowing right from wrong, the difference between good and evil, at that point we all need to make a choice which we will serve. If you choose evil, satan is your lord. If you desire to choose good. Then Jesus is the one who has paved the way. He died and suffered for our sin and it is only through Him that we receive redemption from sin and eternal death.

you will get a will to do good and help others and you should be saved because if not you will go "down there" and that is very sad. even if you dont want to convert, you should at least educate yourself about what you are choosing to deny before you decide to deny it. maybe go talk to a pastor at a local church? im sure he can help you more than anyone here can.
