If she has any respect for this guy at all, she would only be honest with him.

One thing to watch for... if he is too open with your friend while he has a girlfriend that could be a red flag... women seem surprized when they participate in an emotional affair with someone and end up with them only for the guy to end up in another emotional if not physical affair with someone else after being with them...

If he's just eye candy... she can let him know just to make him feel good about himself. If he's not mature enough to handle that without leading your friend on while he has a girlfriend, then he's probably dangerous for your friend...

hope this helps!

I think she should respect his current relationship and withhold this information for now. I see such a lack of self control and an inability to delay gratification.

If the object of her attention ends up single again, I would say after a respectable amount of time (perhaps a week?) then she could share her intentions. I have no problem with women making the first move, but one shouldn't try to interfere with other people's relationships. The only possible motivation she could have to tell him would be to either hope he might break up with his current girlfriend or at least cheat with her.

How would she feel if she were dating this guy and someone else was trying to steal him away?

NO WAY!!! She should just forget about him! She has no right to go after someone that is in a relationship! How would she like it if some chick came up to her boyfriend and said all that ****? If she does go through with it hopefully he loves his girlfriend enough to tell her to get lost! I've had this happen to me a few times with my boyfriend and it really isn't a good feeling especially if your a bit insecure. I'm lucky enough to have someone who loves me and doesn't want anyone else! I really think you should try and make her see the other persons view.

It depends on the circumstances sometimes it's better to wait other times it's better to know than never have known. I had this problem before where I had a friend tell him for me. She searched everywhere to tell me he wanted to see me and he was interested but to my surprising shock I then hid from him and never gave him a chance. I was extremely shy, couldn't deal with omg, I did it and can't believe it, so it depends. If she can handle it why not. If not hold your peace. (He didn't have a gf by the way and in this case it's better to wait till he's single again before things get complicated).

Better not to say anything...yet.

Suppose she tells him. He says "Cool!", dumps his girlfriend and goes out with your friend. How could she ever trust him after that? She would always have to be looking over her shoulder wondering when the next girl is going to say "I really like you", knowing how easy he falls for that.

Now suppose she tells him and he says "Thanks, but I have a girlfriend". She's embarrassed and then when he really is available she's not around because she got embarrassed.

The play is for her to be his friend. Be the girl he talks to when he gets in a fight with his girl. Be available when his heart gets broken or he's just ready to move on. That's the time to say "it's OK, I like you".

I wish her luck.

She should sit back and wait for the guy's relationship to end. If she tells him now it will conplicate things for him, and I'm she she wants him to be happy, so tell her to forget about him for a while, and find some avalible guy she likes and go out with him

Can't hurt - never know unless you try. Part of every problem in this world today is that everyone assumes everyone else is a mind reader! How's he gonna know unless you tell him? Go for it, for all you know he's just looking for a reason to get rid of his current girlfriend - things are never what they seem - go for it!

not a good idea. He probably would freak some. He is with another girl because he likes her, right?!

Well it depends on if he is serious about his girlfriend and if this guy has interest in her. If not then leave it alone and wait and see if he becomes available...then approach don't mess up someone else's relationship if they are happy. keep your head up!
