You strike with your palm and slash/gouge with extremely stiffened finger tips/ nails and block with your forarms. It takes alot of training to use it right as you are likely to screw up your fingers if you dont stiffen them enough. It takes alot of finger strength. Tiger claw is one of my favorite styles because its so fast and vicous and almost as deadly as eagle claw buy unfortunately you can't really use it unless you are very careful in sparring as if you do it right you can really screw somebody up bad. But you should give it a shot when you get into the spirit of the tiger its really awesome

The which the wrist is drawn back, the fingers spread as wide as possible and the fingertips held forward to deliver a blow while grasping and twisting. When delivered successfully, all five fingers should drive forcefully into the opponent with the strength of a tiger's claw.

Due to shamanic influences on the development of early Chinese culture, there are many different "tiger styles"; "fu jiao pai" is an entire martial art dedicated to mimicking the attacks of a tiger. Additionally, many other systems of Chinese martial arts include a "tiger set" based on the same principles. In all cases, the primary method of attack is the "tiger claw", performed with an open hand and the fingers tensed to resemble claws.
However, being true martial arts, these systems require their practioners to be proficient in attacking and defending with all parts of their bodies, and several types of weapons.
