uh oh, Well maybe he wanted a specific parent, or if he was just fine and you looked at him then picked him up when he was in a calm mood, that might have gotten him mad. They understand and he is throwing a tantrum to get his way. You should know his routine, and if you don't learn and take notes. My daughter likes to be left alone in the morning and when I mean left alone, no interaction from me. She'll come to me if she wants something. She'll reach for me. Your son will tell you by body language, he doesn't want to be bothered at some times. My daughter is like this too. I'll pick her up she doesn't want to be held, and if I put her on the floor she starts to holler. Sometimes your son might have too much going on. Turn off the t.v. and have some calming sounds play or sing to him. When my daughter doesn't want to be messed with and will just cry. I put on the baby einstein video baby neptune on, she is in the zone. Find out what your baby likes.
Plus since he is eating different foods they tend to get gassy a lot and constipated too, he might not feel good until he...lets one out...sorry about that, it's the only way to say it.

my daughter does some of those things too and she is 9mos. old. Your son is wanting to do everything. Things are exciting right now at this age and at the same time he wants your attention and sometimes not. but just let him play but also try to read to him and play little games with toys they learn new things everyday. I'm not sure about the screaming does he have his two bottom teeth? and if he does maybe his top two teeth are coming in and someone told me the top teeth are worse when they come in so he could be teething. if you are concerned call your doctor and just ask and tell him what he does. he might have a answer.

From what you describe, it's not unusual, but a phase.
If it persists too long, check with your doctor. What's different lately, what's changed besides his behavior?
This is the age kids figure out they are separate from mom and dad. IF they're in day care, they're pretty angry, with good reason.

Nope... he's just testing his limits with you... stand your ground. Don't pay attention to the negative behavior, and praise the good behavior.
