You get the largest refund if you are not a dependent because then you'll deduct from your gross income the standard deduction and personal exemption amount.
If you made more money than the personal exemption and the standard deduction $3,300 plus $5,150 for the 2006 tax year, you can't be claimed as a dependent by someone else, so you should claim yourself as an independent and likley get a larger refund.

i do no longer understand what to declare. purely please do no longer stress your self right into a typical marriage. understand that i would be happier for you in case you're content with your lady. the whole Orthodox difficulty is very complicated. What in case you theory-approximately "your purpose as a woman" as some thing else? ie. help the those in prefer, the worldwide, make somebody happy. in the adventure that your mom and dad are not supportive, you may desire to purpose allowing them to circulate. i'm no longer suggesting something right here, in basic terms a theory. ~stable success.

You are supporting your self so it would be considered a dependent. Please don't do this blindly, either use a tax prep service or a do it yourself with guides.
www.turbotax.com you can file for free and it will guide you through the process. don't like turbotax go to www.irs.gov there will be a list of on-line tax preparers. use what you are comfortable with.
I have used turbo-tax for 7 years now and love it, easy as answering questions. guides you through all the funky stuff... so this is my personal fav.
Good luck! Hope you get a hefty return!

You can never claim yourself as a dependent. You do get one personal exemption for yourself, however.
