there is this guy that i like a lot. but he's best friends with my ex-boyfriend. so you know how guys talk.he thinks i am just and easy chick to have sex with.but i am nothing like that! i am still a virgin.so if i go out with him i dont want him to expect anything soon. i wanna fall in love with him. but if i dont give it to him i feel like i will loose him. i hate that feeling. should i talk to him.? or just see how it goes?

Well if you are still a virgin you didn't claim that glory by saying yes to the ex. So don't say yes to his friend. If sex is what he wants telling him no will send him packing, otherwise he will hang around.
You can't loose something you don't have. so if you say no and he says good bye you haven't lost anything, but still have your self respect.
Always remember that you don't fall in love. You grow in love. Sex out side of marriage keeps love from growing.
A lot can be told about a person in how they act, talk, and dress and the things they like.
I would take the date and see where it goes. The worst that could happen is it don't work.

If he thinks you are easy cause he is friends with your ex, what did your ex tell him? Especially if you and your ex didn't have sex? If he is worth anything, he wouldn't listen to others, he would want to get to know you himself. You say you want to fall in love with him? You can't plan that, it just happens when the time and people are right. If you go out, tell him straight, if he tries anything that is, No, I am not ready for that. Lets take it slow and get to know each other, he will respect you more in the end for it.

Guys want to have sex and that is fine but if you are not ready then that is fine to. Start going out with him and after a while if you feel like having sex then do it. There isn't a time limit but get to know him and if he is who you want to share everything with then go for it.

Well giving it to him (ha-ha) love that expression. Giving it to him isn't going to make him love you silly! You can't make anyone love you just like you can't make anyone be your friend. They have to want to be your friend, they want to want you, love you.
So... what to do? Hmm. You didn't say how old you are or how strong your character is so.. .lets say you are in HS and you have a strong character.
Walk up to him and say, "I like you and if you were to ask me out I would say yes" This is very, very bold but it cuts righ to the chace.
On the first date make him come in and meet your mom and dad. Just a quick hello. It tells the boy that mom and dad can put the kabosh on this date if they don't like him. It sets him straight. Make sure mom or dad ask were you are going, who you are going with and... say what time you are expected home. This will tell your boy that you are not cheap and come from a loving caring family.
If sex comes up... tell him your not that kind of girl. Believe me, if he likes you, he will ask you out again. Boys like girls who are not easy. Easy girls get dates. Easy girls are so, so popular. But good girls get the boy. NOW! Do you want to date a boy who has gone out with the easy girls???? Then... what would that make you?
Be careful who you give yourself to because you can only give it once and don't you want it to be with someone special? I hope so.

i would lay the cards on the table and let him know how you feel from the start. your very right in wanting to fall in love before you make love with someone especially your first time if he cant respect that then you dont need him anyway he's not worth your time.

If you feel like all he wants you for is sex, it's probably not a good idea to pursue a relationship with him.
I highly doubt your ex boyfriend gave this guy the impression you're easy, especially since you're still a virgin.
Don't waste your first time on someone like this.
You deserve someone who respects you for who you are.

ive been in similar situations and all u gotta kno is this, and act on it: any guy who will leave u if u dont have sex wit him isnt worth ur time. if this is the case, im sry, find a better guy who will respect u cause u deserve better than this.
