Based on the fact that he has pics and notes, you think he still loves her? Is something else leading you to feel this way?
If his last relationship was substantial, you shouldn't expect him to toss these things just for you. Don't be the jealous girl. Your acceptance of his past will improve the way he perceives you, but if he's still talking to her, talks about her, and sees her, you have a right to express concern if you think she's a threat. Still, you need to trust him, and if you cannot, then you should break up with him.

He might not realize he still has them. Some guys aren't like girl, they don't always remember every little thing they have from an ex. Are they hidden away or are they on full display? Either way, ask him about them. Let them know they bother you and you'd like him to get rid of them because they're pointless to keep. If he gets upset about it, he probably is still in love with her and you need to end it. If he agrees to get rid of them, chalk it up to him being a little absent minded and then just double check to see if he really got rid of them. ;) If you find them again, dump him for lying and for keeping them. No need to stay with a guy who is obsessed with an ex.

i dont know, cuz i still have all the pictures and notes of all of my exes. My ex boyfriend kept all his old girlfriends notes. But i knew he loved me and it was over between them... I just keep them all for the memories you know?

as long as you are sure it is really over, just keep being his girlfriend. eventually all of those pictures and notes will be replaced by ones of and from you
