well I am a christian and I have been praying for people to come to know God and things have went wrong. But Satan is always going to attack you, or tempt you. But he really doesnt want the friends that you are praying for to come to know God. And Satan loves anger! It is his tool to intervene in relationships especialy with God and the ones He loves. I would really pray for this person, dont stop! Because prayer is a power that has been given to us. And it changes lives. I have seen it happen.
I would leave it up to God to change this persons heart. Because your prayers are being heard. But when you pray for someone, you are at the centre of Gods work and changing hearts isnt easy. But God works in a persons life gradualy, slowly. So just be patient and God will answer your prayers. Dont be too discouraged, about your friend not talking to you, because God can fix that problem too.
Keep Praying! Feel free to email me.

Remember- salvation is between them and God- you are just called to be a part of the process. Maybe all your job here is to plant the seed and live an example for them.
It is a little prideful to think that this is all YOUR job. I've been a Christian for over 30 years, and I can tell you that sometimes we are our own worst enemy when it comes to evangelizing friends and family.
"Coming under the attack of the enemy" is Christian code for 'things are not going well for me right now- it must be Satan's fault because nothing bad is supposed to happen to me and this is easier than trying to fix things.'
We were NEVER promised an easy life, or that our prayers would be answered how we wish, or that we would succeed in everything. About the only promise we have is that Jesus loves us and that everything will eventually turn out good.
Why do things go bad when you start to pray? Because your perception of what is supposed to happen changes. Things are supposed to go a certain way, but they rarely do. Every little stumbling block that occurs from sheer normal life becomes a big spiritual issue- we see these as attacks or failures rather than the usual nuisances of everyday life.

The devil wants you to quit praying for your friend!!!!! And he is touching you as well so that you can get scared and flee from prayer. The devil hates it when we pray for others to come to Christ but dont forget that God is watching and He also want you to endure!!!! Remember, you are a soldier in the army of the Lord, and soldiers dont quit in the battle, nomatter how hard the enemy seems. The devil just talks big. Call on the Holy Spirit to fill you with strength. And most importantly put on the full armour of God which is found in Ephesians. Do not leave your house without it and dont go into prayer without it. Ask the Holy Spirit to put a hedge of fire around your friends, family and anything associated with you, even your job. And by faith, plead the blood of Jesus on yourself, family, friends and everything you come into contact with. The devil is scared and always a looser.
Go into a fast. That is also a major factor when we are praying for others.

Ok, sounds like you do need encouragment. Well, I'm a Christian, and actually just got baptized today!! : ) But enough about me. I don't really know how to solve your problem with your friend, but I can tell you that you are not alone. I have had a lot hard times in my life and ton of other people have too. Don't worry, give your problems to the Lord. Remember the Lord never gives you too much more than you can handle. I just want to say that I will pray for you, and don't give up. May God bless you!! : )

Of course Satan will pitch a fit! He's going to try to cause you to doubt and stop trying to intercede for your friends. He is always trying to deceive those who are believers, to win them away from their salvation. And, as can be seen in some of these answers, Satan is doing way too good a job at deception. So many have been blinded to The Lord, The Truth, and Eternal Life. It's very sad indeed.

I don't think I've personally experienced something like that. But I'm thinking that it happens because of Satan. He doesn't like letting go of those whose hearts he has, or those whose hearts are not yet God's. Of course the devil's going to make a fuss. And of course he's going to attack you, because you are trying to bring this person away from him.
Also, it's possible that you aren't the one who's going to be there to rejoice with them when they're saved. My youth pastor once mentioned how some people lay the foundation, others build upon it, and others see the results and reap the rewards. You may be laying the foundation, and someone else may be the one who starts really getting through to them and is there when they actually come to Christ. And that works too. God knows what is happening in this person's life and God has a plan. It will work out.

If you are not going through any problems and the road your traveling is a smooth road, then you are NOT a threat to the enemy. Your prayers are reaching Heaven and thats why you are experiencing the difficulty. Now, add some faith and stay faithful and watch God do His part. PEACE!!!

No offence, but why god himself have to come down as a human and die on the cross for the sin of Adam and Eve? and we have to believe in it to be saved? And I don't think God is anything like what he created (Born,Eating,Reproducing and Dying). If christians believes as such is salvation then maybe it's good for them. But in my view people are responsible for their own Acton's. If I believe such a thing then than I am discouraging justice. and i don't think people should be insulted or looked down because of their conflicting believes neither religion supports it.

You will be attacked when you are serving God, and praying for people you love to come to know Him. Your friend is not mad at you, Satan is not happy with you, so he is using your friend to discourage you- continue to pray for him/her. Remember it is God who draws people to Himself. This morning at church we had a visiting missions pastor speak- and one thing that he said was "when you are where God wants you, and you are in His will, you will have it harder than when you are not". Satan knows that he cannot get you to be in hell with him, since Jesus is your Savior, so he will do anything he can to hinder you being effective for God's kingdom- do not give up, trust God to soften your friends heart and lean on Christ.

A famous Christian saying _ "Witness always, using words as little as possible" Remember it is not your job to save anyone, that is the work of the Holy Spirit. You pray and watch and wait.Be availabe when they come to you.
