Currently the Vietnam war, but since the war isn't going to end at this very moment, the current campaign in the middle east will exceed it pretty soon.

"Since Bush's so-called "war on terror" in 2001, US taxpayers have spent 503 billion dollars, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

His war campaigns will balloon to more than 700 billion dollars after Monday's funding requests.

The total cost of the Vietnam war stood at 549 billion."

"As of early December, the Iraq Study Group reported that the Iraq war had cost America about $400 billion, and costs were running about $8 billion a month.

And that was not counting so-called tail costs, such as caring for veterans and replacing lost equipment, which the Iraq Study Group said "will run into the hundreds of billions of dollars."

"Estimates run as high as $2 trillion for the final cost of the U.S. involvement in Iraq," the report said."
