Actually, this is common. Doctors have degrees in only certain things, so I would go to your ob/gyn.
Pregnancy tests are not even 90% effective. The best way to determine if you are pregnant or not is to go to your ob/gyn, or do a HCG test where they draw blood. It is now possible to tell of you're pregnant through blood tests, and is aLOT more reliable and easier than peeing on a stick or in a cup !

This is a common occurence, actually. Some women don't know they're pregnant until a few week before they give birth!

Try to focus on the rest of your pregnancy! The great part is that you're likely over much of the morning sickness. It's awesome that you didn't smoke or drink, but I understand your frustration with just having found out.

Even though this is aggravating, you can now focus on welcoming your baby into the world, and when s/he's older, you'll have a pretty funny story to tell about how he/she was a big surprise.

Have you thought about baby names?

love, first of all the Dr. should have done a blood work up on you especially if you were haven a heavy discharge. that would have confirmed pregnancy sometimes if their is infection present test will give a false reading. sometimes even with pelvic exams if your carrien the baby high as i did with my sons they still cant tell. i pray you are feeling better and i hope i have helped you out a little.
