i'm going to a dance and hopefully going out with a girl but my good friend has liked her forever and i really like her but i dont know how to break it to him...How can I tell him without ruining our friendship???

Honesty, honesty, honesty! Be careful to not be too cruel, but be firm. If she doesn't like your best friend and he knows that and so do you, he does not own her. At least you can tell him that you developed feelings for her and you waited to see if she wanted him and she doesn't appear to, so you are going to try for her. Good luck.

just sort of kiddingly say, like "man, do you think if we liked the same girl, would we still be cool?" and if he says kno, u gotta think, whose more important, ur friend or your wannabe gurl?
