What you do is get the Haynes Repair Manual for your Year and model of vehicle at Auto Zone, or another automotive repair shop. The manual will show you what and how to do the repairs. They will have a part on starting problems too.

Well I have a 97 and the water pump was 80.00 installed by me. It has the 3.3 V6, very simple to do oil changes spark plugs air filter It is a very well built car. Replacing the timing belt would be a very stupid idea - that guy knows nothing about cars at all. As long as you stay away from the 2.7 litre engine you will be fine. Mine is now at 165000 miles original engine/trans I just replaced the front wheel bearings and struts. Totalling 275.00 - I installed. Then 40.00 for the alignment.

Ain't Dodge great? Every Dodge I owned, all 3 of them, caught fire in the wire loom. I finally wised up & bought 2 Ford products & have never been happier. The next time it's running good, trade that baby off.

Had the same problem. Turned out it was the fuel pump. After sitting for a few minutes it resumed working for a while and then acted up again. A new fuel pump eliminated the problem entirely.

i own a repair shop and it sounds like you have a relay maybe going bad for the fuel pump, why don't you do this ,take it by any auto zone and have then do a scan on the computer for it,and see if it has any trouble codes stored in it,if it does this may help explain what its doing ,and why its doing it when it does,i have seen this before ,and it was a bad relay, but have it checked first before you spend any money at all on it,this way you wont be putting on parts you don't need, good luck,i hope this help,s.
