i broke up with my bf of 2 years about 2 weeks ago..because he never really treated me right and we stayed together so long because we had such an awesome connection and chemistry. well i finally decided i deserved better and was done with always being let down etc. I met this great guy last night, he's everything my ex's not...i can really see a future with this guy, but i know I'm still not over my ex. I don't want to lose this great guy...but i don't know if I'm being fair to him...is it too soon to jump into a new relationship?

I don't think it's too soon, as long as you keep open communication with this new guy. Maybe you'll have to be friends for awhile, getting to know each other better, and just make sure to take everything super slow. But you can't let someone great slip away just because you're getting over someone not so great- that just doesn't seem fair! :) Again, just communicate, communicate, communicate- and don't expect this guy to make up for your old guys shortcomings, let this relationship be all new. Good luck!

Only you will know when you are ready for a relationship. There is no set amount of time you have to wait to date again. Just date the new guy, don't get serious with him right away.

Go for it.
Just tell him you want to take things slow.
