I don't have one, but a friend (and all of his neighbours who live on the same floor in his condo tower) has a Tempur mattress, and the reports are all excellent. Another friend has one and he also likes it.
The only thing that might concern me, as another writer noted, is that the mattress might become warm. Does the foam breathe adequately? I am not sure. And, does that "springing back" feature remain effective for years, or does that eventually break down and get lumpy? However, the others are quite happy with their mattress. I think I would likely get one of the "bowling ball" mattresses when it comes time to replace mine, though.

I haven't bought the mattress (thousands of bucks), but I did get a 2" thick memory foam mattress pad. It took some getting used to because you sink in and then can't change positions very easily. But it is so comfortable. One of these days I'm going to go to one of the stores in this area that sells them and give them a test. Who knows I may break down and spend the extra cash just to get a good nights sleep.

I am absolutely in love with my Tempur Pedic mattress. It's the best investment made this year.

We just bought a SLEEP COMFORT mattress a month ago. It has both an air bladder and foam combination for comfort. (Have the 5" middle style model. The next one up in line was the same in feel to us....) We love it...Checked out the temperpedic types and I wasn't impressed with it....my husband liked it. I felt like I was being wrapped by the foam to be readied for shipping by the USPS. I also felt I had to pick myself up to roll over. Heard they are warm in the summer months and can be harder in the winter. good Luck!!!!

After reading these answers, I have decided not to get one:) I like a firm mattress that I won't get wrapped up in.
I guess I will look at those sleep number mattresses and see how that feels

I don't own one but slept on one for about a week. I found it kind of claustrophic, and I got too hot.
