To become a muslim ?

So ive been reading up on the Muslim belief lately, and let me get this straight..... To become a Muslim you must first, Shave your arm pits and pubic hair, and it must remain shaved every 40 days? You may only eat with your right hand? There is no flirting, premarital sex or hugs of anyone except immediate family? When fasting, having sex breaks the fast? you must never allow dog saliva on your clothes? And no matter what the crime, murder, violence, bombs you are "sinless" when you become Islamic?

Forgive me, but i live in reality, the now, I dont live in a cave and dont have to pump water outside to have a shower, and i dont live 2 centuries ago....but what kind of sh*t is this? This seems like some old fashioned BS. Why the rules? And why take the quran out of context? Ive read that by murdering other people, its ok because Allah says so to defend him?

I live in 2007, not the year 007. Murder is unacceptable no matter what, even if someone said allah sucks. Murder is Murder!

To become a Muslim you have to proclaim the Shahaadat.
Shaving is part of cleanliness. What is wrong with that?
You may eat with your left hand, under certain circumstances. It is the practice of the Prophet (pbuh) to eat with the right hand.
Flirting, premarital sex, etc is not allowed; so if you do indulge in those acts, you will be sinful.
Last time I checked "Thou shalt not commit adultery" was part of the 10 commandments.
When you revert to Islam, your previous sins are forgiven.

Unjust murder is not allowed in Islam and will warrant punishment. One is allowed to defend ones self and country. Last time I checked other nations defend themselves too.

Because you don't have to pump water, does not mean that there is anything wrong with Islam.
