At parties when it is time to go I just quietly disappear. Tip-toe on out without saying a word. It's kind of strange I guess. Do you think I'm weird?

I don't think that's weird. I don't see the need to make a big hoopla over saying goodbye at a party. That's kind of a cool way to leave. Way to go.

Depends, is it a big party? It is kinda weird that you dont go and say goodbye or thank the hosts but if its more of a lets get drunk with people we dont know party than i guess its not weird, but if its the party with friends then yeah i think it is kinda weird. Is there a reason you slip out quietly?

It's not weird, I used to do the same thing until I was attacked by some drunk 1 night and none of my friends had a clue where I was. Just keep in mind that's it's always good to let someone know where you are cause you never know when you're gonna get into some kind of trouble and need help.

Except at the most informal "bashes" where kids wander in and out, and frat parties and such, it is rude to just disappear. Once you become an adult and you go over someone's house for a party, you're supposed to say hello when you get there, compliment your host, and then make it a point to shake hands when you leave, thanking them for a good time. Just disappearing is rude.

i was like that, i just chilled in a corner talked to about 2 people and then bounced soon after without saying goodbye. Ya just gotta be more open and have a good time. Blaze an L before you go to a party, it allways lightens me up, then just drink and have fun.

Hey I do the same, I also think its strange but I just don't feel like going up to people including the host or hostess and saying I am leaving now so I just try to sneak out and hope they don't notice.

Different strokes for different folks!!

Don't worry i do them same thing even if its a family get together i slowly sneak out the back way. I even say "no" when people ask me if i'm leaving then I sneak away asap. I don't know why I do it but i don't think its weird. I think its just to avoid all the good byes and all the attention as you walk out

No I don't and I do that as well, because when I'm ready to go I just want to go and not spend the next hour making sure I said goodbye to everybody and hoping I didnt leave anyone out. It would be nice to say goodbye to the host tho.

You are not weird. You must have a good reason to disappear from parties, whether it's out of bashfulness, or out of fear of being escorted by a guy home, I cannot tell, but I don't think that it's out of weirdness. :)
