It might not be used anymore, but what are the group of people called in the military who are responsibile for keeping the beat and pace of the troops. Basically, in shows, the people who beat the drums with the drumsticks whenever they show military shots.

Today, they are part of the Military Bands, used to be called the Drum and Fife Corps.

If its Irish they would be called the pipe and drum corps (bag pipes doncha know)
