I wasn't ever taught about religion or anything like that - I've always known, since I was a little girl, that there are angels. I believe in a God/Higher Power 'cause when I was in rehab I saw a sign from Him letting me know that he was there to reassure me. At any rate, where is God when I cry? He's not here to wipe away my tears or hold me and comfort me.

I know that God can't physically be here with us.. But if he does love us, or care about us - why doesn't he send us an angel that will wrap their wings around us and comfort us?

Everyone I thought were my friends and family have ignored me and treated me like I'm nothing, worthless. It's hard to keep faith alive when I pray and hope for the best --- all I get in return is complete nothing.

There are only so many tears you can cry before it drains the light from your eyes.. And there is only so much pain a soul can bear before it dies inside.

The Lord is full of compassion, but you will never know this until you accept the testimony He has borne concerning His Son Jesus Christ. You cannot understand God until you believe Him. When you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ came down from heaven and died on a cross for your sins, it is easy to find the comfort you are seeking. He said to His disciples before He suffered He would not leave them like orphans, but that He would come to them. He comes through His Holy Spirit that He gives to all who repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as the Lord of their life. If you can come to God like a little child and just receive the gift of forgiveness He will manifest Himself to you and heal your hurts. I have personally met hundreds who can testify to this. But if you insist on doing things your own way and rejecting God's offer of reconciliation through his Son, I can't offer you any hope. God is compassionate, but He is God, and you must do things His way.

I understand. I too feel tired. As though the continuious emotional wounds won t stop bleeding. I too do not get understanding from my "family". This is why I believe that my true family are those who understand. Yet since they are rare , I imagine most of my family are in heaven. And that God is my true Father. I do not follow a religion. But I do believe in God and my Home in Heaven. Where I am always accepted. Where is a dear hug or kiss when one cry s, I wish I knew, it s somthing I have yearned for since I was born. What I do know, is that the only survival is to hold onto Hope, of one day returning Home to heaven. Where surely there are constant hugs and kisses when needed. Untill then, I try to focus on the dear nature around, such as a bird singing or a cat purring. Or the wind flowing through the silent calming tree branches. Hope is the only thing that keeps the light burning, even if only a tiny twilight in the constant darkness.

Oh, Sweetheart, God sends angels all of the time, we just have to believe, and sometimes your angels are humans, trying to inspire you. Life is tough sometimes and we all cry a lot of tears, it's the human condition. But, look at all of the beautiful things He's given us; right now people that don't even know you are reaching out to you because we all know how you feel. Your soul can't die, Darlin', it's eternal. Stay on the positive side of your thinking and doing, you'll overcome the negative, bless your heart. When you are mistreated, learn the lesson of how not to be, don't internalize another person's negativity toward yourself, maybe they're in pain, too. I sure hope you feel better, God is here all of the time, He wants us to fix ourselves because that's what we need to do to grow. Keep praying, but don't wait for God to fix things for you, we have to do that for ourselves. God keeps encouraging us, that's the bright voice we hear:)

If he LOVES you so much, why'd he create pain in the world and give us the ability to cry in the first place?

You remind me of something... when I was 11 (wise beyond my years) I knew 9 year old girls who believed in fairies living in the bushes. I looked at them as if they were crazy! Even at 11 I knew there was no such thing as fairies and that these girls were ignorant.

You're like that only w/ angels (who don't help people in the 3rd world country but help YOU instead) and a higher being whose evidence has YET to be presented.

I'm in pain too (for a couple reasons) and I don't PRAY to a being who won't (and can't) answer. I take matters into my own hands. What do I get in return? Intelligence and a higher self esteem. You should try it sometimes...

I know exactly how you feel. Although you feel rejected and worthless, you got to remember that you are created in His image. . . So God created them in His image. . . He created them male and female.Genesis1:27.
So by this, we know that someone loved us that much, He created YOU in His image.
But as for the question, Why doesnt He send an angel to wrap their wings around us and comfort us? In this world their is alot of hurt, from relationship problems to death. Amongst all this hurt. God was with us on this earth and still is. Jesus came down to earth and lived a life full of rejection, worthlessness and hurt and unbearable pain. He was crucified FOR sinners BY sinners, so that we can live a good life for eternity.
There is something that I want to tell you. It really encourages me. It will let you know that there is someone out there who REALLY, REALLY, REALLY cares for YOU! and is also with you.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers they will not overwelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned and scorched. Nor will the flame kindle upon you.
Isaiah 43:2
(take note of the first line and read it 5 times, notice it says that God is with us, though lifes struggles)

This is saying that no matter what struggles and burdens we are carying. God is right by our side! Hey, if He loves you enough to die on a cross for my and your sins, what makes you think that He cant carry us through our burdens.
I suppose your asking, if this is really true, why doesnt He do something? Well, life wasnt made to be easy. This is only a TEMPERARY home, we are going to a much better place. called Heaven. Where there is no more pain and no more hurt. I know that it has happened in my life where I have felt so distant from God because of the pressure of the world. I think what will make it a bit easier is if you jion a church group in your local community. Because the church is NOT A PLACE FOR SAINTS BUT A PLACE FOR A HURTING WORLD. they will be able to support you and help you through your problems. Because we were not made to go through life alone. We were created to be part of a community with love and affection and the church is a wonderful place to find love, compassion and rest from your burdens. You will meet people who you can interact with and it will halve the problem. Dont be scared to go to church. Because yyou will have the opportunity to speak to other people about your hurts and this can be a healing process and then you will really start to feel the prescence of God. It may not be straight away, give it some time. It also doesnt mean your problems are going to go away, but you will feel like you are loved and is there with you. Because God does love you and is right their with you amongst your burdens and God says that in His word.

Jesus experienced this also. He even asked the question aloud too.

Are you a born again believer? No one says we won't experience pain. In fact, we may go through even more pain on Earth due to our profession of faith. But Jesus did say after he went to heaven he'd send us a comforter, which he did: the Holy Spirit. If you have the Holy Spirit living inside you, take comfort that God is with you always.

he is there, but sometimes [and i think there is a song about this]
the answer is an unanswered prayer.
your query and comments are very poetic but sometimes you have to help yourself.
get up, dry your eyes and make an effort. maybe you have done this a million times already but you just have to keep trying.
you have to learn not to wallow in selfpity and depression.
its tough, its rough, life is unfair, but you have to keep making the effort. you simply can not lay there and wait for help to arrive.
people, whether it be family or friends, get tired of trying to hold someone up. they get to a point where they feel its time to let you go, and you either sink or swim. its called tough love. and its the hardest thing to do.
so stop what you are doing, take a good long look in the mirror and get on with life. grow up and if you still need help then get counselling......but do something other than sitting there whining.
you can you know, you are stronger than you think and you are worth the effort, so get going~and good luck.

Surely not everyone in your life has foresaken you. Everyone at one time or another feels totally alone and abandoned, it's part of being human.

I'm not going to say that G-d is ignoring you by not being there physically, but he is there, always.

Since you say you were in rehab why not call one of the counselors there, there must have been one that was a confidant. Call him/her and unload. If you would like someone to listen you may e-mail me, I'm alone now as I finally have some time off from work.

sometimes when a person is in happiness and ignorance,, they cant see the lord..
It would seem from my experience, that when a person is destitute, thats the time when they *sincerely* seek HIM.
be encouraged.
sometimes we cant see God, but know in your heart, by reading the bible that he is ever present.
U said that u knew he was real by an experience u had that he was ever present?
was that the same time, when u felt all alone. was that the same time u felt abandoned.
even in your aloneness and feelings of abandonness, he is always there.
When Paul and Silas, were imprisoned, instead of despairing, which I would do..
they said, and prayed and sang songs onto the lord, and he heard their cry, and sent deliverance to them with a might earthquake.
Did he not send you a sign?
Wasnt that sign uplifting?
Be encouraged..
MY God is always near.
Just read your bible and let your heart , your soul and your mind be lifted as unto him

Regardless of your pains fears and concerns always believe God is right there. Do not worry he will bring all things to pass in his time. Have faith and believe that your cries are heard and faith to believe that the prayer you prayed he will answer. The bible says god will not give us more than we can bear.
