Many people say that we have a soul, and they say that the soul lives on after the body dies. They say that Lazarus’ soul was alive somewhere. But the Bible does not say that. It says that God made the first man Adam “a living soul.” Gen. 2:7, Adam was a soul. The Bible also says that when Adam sinned, he died. He became a “dead soul,” and he returned to the dust from which he had been made. The Bible also says that all Adam’s offspring inherited sin and death too.
The Scriptural teaching of the resurrection, however, is not compatible with the doctrine of the immortality of the soul. If an immortal soul survived death, no one would need to be resurrected, or brought back to life. Indeed, Martha expressed no thought about an immortal soul that was living on elsewhere after death. She did not believe that Lazarus had already gone to some spirit realm to continue his existence. On the contrary, she showed her faith in God’s purpose to reverse the effects of death. She said: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” (John 11:23, 24) Likewise, Lazarus himself related no experiences of some afterlife. There was nothing to report.
Clearly, according to the Bible, the soul dies and the remedy for death is the resurrection. You enjoy the best sleep ever, until Jesus resurrects you, sometime in the future.
GOD IS NOT GOING TO DESTROY THE EARTH, THE EARTH SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE WILL BECOME A GARDEN OF EDEN OR PARADISE WHERE PEOPLE CAN LIVE IN PEACE & SECURITY.
ARMAGEDDON IS SIMPLY HIS WAR TO CLEAN THE EARTH OF WICKED PEOPLE & ALL BAD THINGS THAT EXIST, & PEOPLE WHOSE WORSHIP IS UNACCEPTABLE TO HIM.
Why, though, would God wage a global war? Armageddon is closely related to one of his cardinal qualities, justice. The Bible declares: “God is a lover of justice.” (Psalm 37:28) He has seen all the acts of injustice perpetrated during man’s history. This naturally provokes his righteous displeasure. Thus, he has appointed his Son to wage a just war in order to do away with this entire wicked system.
Only God is capable of waging a truly just and truly selective war during which righthearted individuals, wherever they may be on earth, will be preserved. ) And only he has the right to impose his sovereignty over all the earth, for it is his creation. Revelation 4:11.
What about survivors? Indeed, no one needs to perish at Armageddon. The apostle Peter observed: “God, does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9) And the apostle Paul stated that God’s “will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”
Consider the good Har–Magedon promises to achieve, godly humanity’s peaceful future on this planet, no more pollution, no more war, no more poverty, no more disease or even death. God promises: “Look! I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:3,4

"YOU make the word of God invalid by YOUR >tradition< which YOU handed down." -- Mark 7:13
That^ is a quote of something Jesus said to the Pharisees --the then Jewish religious leaders. Notice what the origins of the concept of hellfire are, in the following:
What Really Is Hell? (Notice its origins.)

Reread Mark 7:13^.
Aside from the resurrections performed when the Bible was still being written (so we could have faith in the power of God & his son, Jesus Christ), there are only 2 resurrections. Everyone who has died has gone to the Biblical hell, because all it is is the common grave of mankind ... 'lack of life'. AKA "memorial tombs", because those there live only in God's memory, & being resurrected is their only 'hope' of future life. Here are some links to articles that explain this in much more detail, complete with links to the actual Scriptures that deal with this subject:

The Bible NEVER contradicts itself.
God NEVER contradicts himself.
However -- man-made: religions, leaders, & teachings,
REGULARLY contradict Both the Bible & God ...
& even one another, & themselves.
The teaching of transmigration from human to spirit life at death is only one of many false teachings incorperated into man-made religion ...

IF human lives Were transformed to spirit life at death, there Would be no need for a resurrection ... but they are NOT.
Actually, the idea of the dead immediately going to either hell or heaven based on their deeds, is very much like the idea of reincarnation: "the Hindu or Buddhist doctrine that person may be reborn successively into one of five classes of living beings (god or human or animal or hungry ghost or denizen of hell) depending on the person's own actions."*

Do you mean the resurrection of the body? It will happen at the second coming of Jesus a.k.a. The Last Judgment. There are two judgments - particular judgment which happens when one dies (and is sent to either heaven of hell). Then at the end of time is the last judgment, or general judgment - when all is revealed. The people still on earth when that happens will be sent to either Heaven of Hell. Everyone else who has already died and is in Heaven of Hell will receive their resurrected body and get to experience the joy of Heaven or pain of Hell fully.

Revelations has a lot to say about judgment and resurrection. So do other books in the New Testament.
The Bible says that those who reject Jesus Christ already stand condemned - that doesn't mean they have been judged in the present; rather, it is a forecast of the future spoken in present tense verbs. The Bible alludes to two deaths for nonbelievers: the physical death on this earth and eternal damnation of the soul.
It is a puzzle trying to figure out the resurrection, and some things still remain unclear to me. Such as the dead in Christ rising, and Jesus' statement to one of the robbers crucified next to him: You will join me on this day in paradise. The two appear to contradict one another as to when believers actually go to Heaven.
But I realize that man's mind is not like God's, and there are many things we don't understand about Him. For me to try to comprehend everything would be like a fish trying to understand mathematic equations. Some things are just beyond our abilities.

Good people can go to hell as well as bad people - same thing with those going to heaven. It's by grace people are saved. In a sense, we're all scum.
I believe in soul sleep that all souls go into a state of rest until the Great Day of the Lord then they are resurrected- some to be judged and cast into the lake of fire and others go to heaven.

There is actually 2 different resurrections
both are explained in the 20th chapter of Revelations
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Where does the Bible say that good folks go to heaven (it doesn't)?
And how many evil people are in the valley of Hinom (hell) right now (none)?
Don't get your info from hearsay - go to the source. The resurrection only makes sense if you understand the theological paradigm.

Sweetheart, there is no good and bad. We are all bad and dead in our trespasses (sin). No amount of 'goodness' can earn us a free trip to Heaven.
Heaven is offered as a free gift, through the sacrifice and completed work of Jesus Christ. Jesus was the perfect sacrificial lamb, necessary to end sin and deaths grip upon humanity.

i've got purely been a catholic for some years yet i'm surprisingly specific that we don't think interior the rapture. We have faith that as quickly as Jesus comes returned, it's going to be a public judgement. whether we do circulate to Heaven that day, our judgement would be public and in front of definitely everyone to be sure. ok Heaven is going to be a plenty plenty greater efficient place to circulate permit me tell ya. Hell is an exceedingly very frightening state to be in. as quickly as you're there, there is no turning back. you isn't waiting to circulate into Heaven ever returned, and that's for all eternity. i'd take this very heavily. do you go with to go through for all eternity? would not sound so relaxing for me. Gospel of Matthew 22:a million-14 "Jesus returned in respond spoke to the administrative priests and the elders of the individuals in parables saying, “the dominion of heaven could be likened to a king who gave a marriage ceremonial dinner for his son. He dispatched his servants to summon the invited visitors to the ceremonial dinner, yet they refused to return. A 2nd time he sent different servants, saying, ‘tell those invited:“Behold, I certainly have arranged my ceremonial dinner, my calves and fattened livestock are killed, and each little thing is waiting; come to the ceremonial dinner.”’ some omitted the invitation and went away, one to his farm, yet another to his corporation. something laid carry of his servants, mistreated them, and killed them. The king replace into enraged and sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. Then the king mentioned to his servants,‘The ceremonial dinner is waiting, yet people who have been invited weren't worth to return. circulate out, for this reason, into the main suitable roads and invite to the ceremonial dinner whomever you detect.’ The servants went out into the streets and accrued all they stumbled on, undesirable and robust alike, and the hall replace into packed with visitors. yet while the king got here in to fulfill the visitors he observed a guy there no longer wearing a marriage garment. He mentioned to him,‘My chum, how is it which you got here in right here and not utilising a marriage garment?’ yet he replace into decreased to silence. Then the king mentioned to his attendants,‘Bind his palms and feet, and solid him into the darkness outdoors, the place there will be wailing and grinding of enamel.’ Many are invited, yet few are chosen.”

This is the biggest lie that has ever been told by the enemy. You dont go to Heaven by being good or to hell by being bad. If you acceot or reject him is the reason for judgment.
