There are some blood tests for tumor markers like CEA for colon cancer and ca 125 for ovarian cancer. A CBC could indicate if you had a blood cancer like leukemia. The tumor markers are fairly expensive and even if positive, you would have to undergo more testing to determine the extent of the cancer if one should come up positive. It may not be cancer, so you may want to see if you can somehow afford the ultrasound. Some hospitals (if you get the test done there) will work with people who are uninsured and may discount the rate of the ultrasound or other scanning tests.

This certainly IS a broad question!
Breast cancer can have a lump as a symptom, but it also can be a rash (Paget's disease) that is not lumpy and still important to have checked.
Ovarian cancer early symptoms include a "bloated" feeling often. Here early detection is very important so any symptoms that last for several days with no change should be checked.
Early cancer seldom has a high pain associated with it. Usually it is the pain that drives the person to seek medical attention.

Here is some general info on possible cancer fighters. Take vitimin c. The FDA says that the RDA for vit c is 64 mg a day. Linus Pauling who got a Nobel Prize for his work on vit c and a second Nobel Prize for organic chemestry says 1000 mg a day normally and 2000 mg a day if you are sick. Try it. A few years ago there was a research papaer out that said Interferon was the best cancer and infection fighter available, but it was $15,000 a gram. What the paper also said was that Interferon was the product of the natural breakdown of vit c in your system. Shortly after that paper came out the FDA tried to put vit c on perscription only. Guess why?? I had "something" that had me sick 2 weeks twice a year with at least one week in the middle flat on my back. After 25 years of doctors not knowing what it might be I started vitimin C therapy when I got sick. I took enough to keep me asymptomatic and just below too much to give me diarrea. It followed a bell curve over 2 weeks and at the peak I was taking 40,000 mg a day with 300,000 mg over 2 weeks. I did that when I got sick for 2 years and have never gotten sick in the last 10 years. Look into it.

Never pause for a moment to ponder on whether you have cancer, but in every case immediately go to your Doctor, the worst that can happen is that you are Okay in which case the Doctor should congratulate you for being so sensible!
Cancer can spread very rapidly so immediately get checked for the smallest and slightest suspicion! In any case get checked
Bi-annually
Cancer likes an alkaline blood chemistry and some say that increasing the acid content of your body by taking a daily dose of Cider Vinegar from the health shop helps to prevent cancer developing.
I am a hypnotist and I have found that I can control the healing of my body with hypnosis and I teach healing from within which is why it infuriates me the way many doctors approach the patient with news of Cancer that leaves the victim feeling their death is inevitable, this aids the spread of cancer.
The most powerful defence we have against cancer if anyone has it is our brain which if you determine to fight the cancer from within, generates a highly hostile acid environment for the cancer which has seen some miraculous recoveries!

Cancer can't be diagnosed without scanning, biopsy, and other procedures that only a doctor can do.
While it is true that many breast cancers are not detected by feeling for lumps, this is why women over 40 are supposed to get annual mammograms.
If you are much younger than that, I wouldn't worry that you have cancer. Breasts can have internal soreness for a huge number of reasons that have nothing to do with cancer, especially as their size fluctuates with your monthly hormonal cycle.

By the time cancer is diagnosed it has usually spread pretty far. Normally it is painless unless it presses on a nerve or some other sensitive body part which is why most people don't know they have it until its too late.
If you have lumps you need to have them checked. The faster it is taken care of the better your chances for survival.

Never wait! Time is the most important thing dealing with cancer...go to your doctor immediately! Never be a procrastinator, a check up that produces no cancer is better then a check up that finds cancer in its final stages. I am a cancer survivor and time was with me, let it be with you also.

usually g-d gives the person the understanding to know when he/she has something to go check it out at the right time.
remember that it is g-d who gives the doctor permission to heal it is not the doctors own power
